Role Profile
Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the Land Development Executive will lead and manage all aspects of land and property development on behalf of AFC Holding, We are looking for a motivated professional with a demonstrable track-record of managing and developing existing and new areas in cities, towns and the countryside. This individual must be results-driven and service-driven with exceptionally good problem-solving skills. You should also be highly adaptable and flexible with the ability to work comfortably in a tight), dynamic and fast paced environment

Duties and Responsibilities

Attend to all issues regarding transfer of land from Government of Zimbabwe to AFC Holdings.
Drive the processes of carrying out land valuation, survey and processing of block title for all the allocated land.
Liaise with City/Town or Rural Planning Authorities in coming up with the urban land use plans, taking into account specific urban expansion Plans legislation, transport, the local economy, jobs, green infrastructure, renewable energy and climate change among other issues.
Ensure that the Group's land development projects are in line with local legislation, with particular emphasis on the Regional. Town and Country Planning Act. Lead on planning submissions, appeals, design, access statements and other documentation as may be required.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders such as the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works, Local Authorities among others to ensure the success of the Group, land development projects.
Provide strategic direction on the sourcing of service providers to facilitate development project,
Schedule projects to ensure commencement in line with set targets
Co-ordinate all aspects of the property development process including hiring contractors, liaison with town planners, engineers. quantity surveyors, project managers and vendors to ensure smooth implementation of all project,
Produce project feasibility assessments and reports.

Qualifications and Experience

Job Skills and Competencies
Creative thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills to come up with innovative solutions to planning problems.
Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong report writing, communication and organizational skills for liaising with colleague, land developer, architects and various other stakeholders.
Project-management skills and ability to manage tight deadlines.
Self-motivated and flexible.
A good team player with an attitude for listening and negotiation.

Qualifications and Experience
A Degree in Quantity Surveying/Real Estate/Civil Engineering/Construction Management/Rural and Urban Planning.
Qualification in Project Management \MBA
At least 5 - 7 years' experience in managing high value land development projects.
