Job Description
Zimbabwe Power Company is the leading generator of electrical energy in Zimbabwe and supplies the bulk of the nation's electrical power requirements from its five power stations. ZPC is undertaking various projects that are meant to dose the gap between electrical energy demand and supply. The company is now on the execution stage of the 600MW Hwange Power Station: Expansion Project. We are therefore inviting suitably qualified and motivated persons for the following 20 various vacant positions of the project that have arisen on a fixed term contract bas is of up to 18 months.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
• Performing routine sampling of water coal dl & limestone
• Sample preparation and sample preservation
• General laboratory housekeeping
• Understanding food laboratory Practices (FLPs)
• Compliance to Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) principles
Qualifications and Experience
• 5 0 Level passes including Mathematics, Science & English Language
• National Diploma in Chemical Technology, Applied Chemistry, Chemistry or equivalent 'Previous working experience is an added advantage
• At least 3 years' experience in a proper plant laboratory.
