Job Description

The new NSSA conducts its business in an honest, accountable, and transparent manner and we seek to recruit like-minded individuals in the following areas:

Ict Projects Officer - (Head Office): Grade 10 (X2)
Reporting to the ICT Projects Manager, the successful candidate will provide essential support to a project working with the Project Manager and other team members to achieve project success. A key component of a Project Officers' roles includes administrative and technological support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Outputs
• Meet with the ICT Project Manager on a regular basis to review progress and to discuss future steps on ICT projects.
• Manage the project schedule, monitoring deadlines for each project activity, advising on project progress and reporting any potential delays to the Project Manager.
• Identify any potential issues or risks that could affect the progression of the project and communicate these to the Project Manager working closely to identify potential solutions.
• Send out minutes of previous meetings and any other documents prior to the next meeting.
• Take minutes at every meeting of the project task force.
• Maintain crucial project documents which track project progress filing all project documents in an appropriate database or library and ensure that all documents are accurate and have been accepted by the Project Manager
• Organise and arrange meetings with the members of the project team in respect of venues and attendees.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifying Requirements
• A Degree in Business Management Business Administration or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE IV Agile PM certification is a must.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in project management work.
Key Competencies and Characteristics
• Hands-on experience with flowcharts, technical documentation and schedules.
• Knowledge of project management software (e.g. Trello or Microsoft Projects).
• Solid organization and time-management skills.
• Strong oral and written skills.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• High degree of initiative, dependability.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to work in a team environment.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Able to take the initiative.
