About
Africaid is a community organisation which through its Zvandiri programme, integrates community prevention, treatment, care and support for children, adolescents and young people living with HIV. Works with the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) and National AIDS Council in implementing these interventions with funding from USAID, Zim-TTECH, UNICEF, ELMA, READY+, Maruva Trust and ZACH.
Position summary
The Human Resources Associate role is a key position with very huge demands at any given time hence the person should be a team player who achieves balance in their life and grows the enthusiasm of fellow employees for the global achievement of the organisational set goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job description
The Human Resources Associate will support the recruitment and selection process working closely with HRO. Assist with drafting of offer letters under guidance of the HRO and communicate to candidates where relevant. Conduct new hire orientation and ensure all relevant documents are included in the orientation package. Follow-up on approvals for all HR related documents. Maintain an accurate personnel filing system for all staff, ensuring that each individual file conforms to audit expectations and has all the required documentation. Assist in the processing of monthly payroll, in close liaison with the HRO and Finance department. Administration of timesheet – ensuring that timesheets are accurately completed and on time. Providing general Human Resources support through attending to general HR queries from staff, communicating to staff via email or telephone as required. Prepare draft departmental weekly, monthly reports. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
The Human Resources Associate must have: A bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields; human resources management; business administration; social sciences or its recognized equivalent. Experience of HR in the not-for-profit sector is preferred; interact with diplomacy and tact and follow-up on requests in timely and efficient manner; must exhibit high levels of professionalism; integrity and ethical values at all times; ability to maintain confidentiality for sensitive Human Resources issues or projects and use judgment to execute duties and responsibilities; record keeping; report preparation, filing methods and records management techniques. Objectivity and the ability to apply HR policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
