A Group of companies with exciting career prospects is looking into the feasibility of venturing in to gold buying, milling and establishing a mining entity in the long run in high yielding gold mining areas in Zimbabwe. The Group is soliciting for applications from a suitably qualified Geologist and a Metallurgist to assist in market research outlining short and long term opportunities in Zimbabwe's gold milling industry.
GEOLOGIST
Reporting to the Managing Director, the position shall be responsible for, among other duties:-
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identifies and recommends high yielding gold mining areas to set-up milling operations;
• Prepares geological and structural maps, sections and reports;
• Provides accurate geological data for mine exploration;
• Designs cost effective exploration programs and execute the search for new resources/reserves through mapping, sampling and drilling;
• Recommends specific sites for set-up milling operations and the human resources requirements
• Conducts a risk assessment of the gold buying and milling operations;
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• A Degree in Geology
• At least 3 years' experience in a gold mining environment
• High computer literacy with emphasis in Excel and Access
• A clean class 4 driver's licence
