Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for suitably qualified and self-driven individuals in a leading diversified conglomerate for the position of Food & Beverage Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business performance through the development and monitoring of effective implementation of the Restaurant’s strategy aimed at achieving set people, customer, revenue and profitability targets. The incumbent will oversee all aspects of the Restaurant’s procurement, production, merchandising, stock management, and customer services, directing & motivating the Restaurant team to attain an excellent service delivery for all customers and generation of sales.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Accountable for revenue generation of the Restaurants and ensuring each restaurant is self-sustaining.
• Develop initiatives and strategies that assist the restaurants to achieve their set revenue, Gross Profit, and Net Profit targets.
• Design and implement Restaurant menus in line with the market needs and organizational objectives.
• Accountable for all stocks i.e., raw material delivered, stocks in the warehouse/storage facility, stocks in the production line for service departments, and stocks that are sold to customers.
• Design and monitor the effective implementation of Customer Relationship Management strategies aimed at providing exceptional service to the customers.
• Monitor the effective execution of the production plans and ensure 100% staff adherence to the set standards as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor recipe adherence by the Restaurant production team to ensure the quality of products in line with organizational standards.
• Formulate & monitor implementation of strategies to grow Restaurants market share in liaison with the Operations Director.
• Oversee all health and hygiene standards of the restaurant, conducting regular Health & Hygiene checks throughout the restaurant, making sure expected standards are being met at all times.
• Ensure that all restaurant staff members are highly engaged and effectively executing their duties and responsibilities and align the team with activities that will ensure that business goals are met.

Qualifications and Experience

Person Specification

The ideal person must possess the following:

• Degree in Hotel & Catering/ Tourism & Hospitality Management
• Diploma in Hotel & Catering
• A least 5 years of experience in a Restaurant/Hotel managerial role
• Experience as a Chef is a prerequisite
