Two (2) x Finance and Administration Graduate Interns: Insiza Godlwayo AIDS Council (IGAC)

Location: Insiza and Lupane

Background
Insiza Godlwayo AIDS Council (IGAC) is implementing the Pathways OVC Project in Insiza and Lupane District in Matabeleland South and North Provinces. Pathways is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through Catholic Relief Services (CRS). The project is targeting the Orphaned and Vulnerable Children and their Caregivers through streamlined individual based interventions premised on the project four domains in Healthy, Safe, Stable and Schooled. IGAC is looking for suitably qualified individuals to fill in the above mentioned posts.
Objectives
IGAC engages graduate Interns as a corporate social responsibility to provide graduated students with practical on-the-job training. The duration of the attachment is renewable annually. IGAC is urgently recruiting for Finance graduate Interns for its Pathways Project based in Insiza and Lupane for the period November 2020 to September 2021.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities
The Graduate Interns will be responsible in assisting in the below main activities: Financial Management: Cash handling and management on daily basis; Recording transactions and reconciling the cash book; Bank reconciliations; Processing payments to suppliers; Maintaining accurate and complete supporting documents; Preparing monthly financial reports in line with organisational policies and donor requirements - Cash journal, liquidation report, variance analysis; Assisting in both external and internal audits eg by providing the required documentation; Assets counts when required; Payroll and compliance with statutory obligations: Verification of time sheets; Update leave and lieu time.
Administration and office management: Filing documents sequentially; Retrieving documents as required; Storing and securing documents; Rental payments for offices; Payment of organisational admin utilities; Any other duty for the Finance department.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and or Finance; Good interpersonal and communication skills; Proficiency in use of Microsoft office - Excel; Able to work under Pressure; Able to work under Minimum supervision.
