Job Description
To procure farm produce and supply it to a team of vendors, and supervise the sales process, then cash in with the directors at the end of the day
Duties and Responsibilities
1) Train vendors to persuade customers to purchase fruit and vegetables.
2) Ensure that vendors set up and display fruit and vegetables at the market.
3) Write and record orders for fruit and vegetables.
4) Grade and record fruit and vegetables received from suppliers, ensuring high quality and freshness.
5) Arrange fruit and vegetables in attractive and safe way.
6) Excellent at sourcing, negotiation and supplier relationship management
7) Setting and adjusting selling price.
8) Managing perishable inventory and completing inventory and profit reports
9) Create and maintain relationships with suppliers
10) Estimate and establish budgets for purchases
11) Make professional decisions in fast-paced environment
12) Review all suppliers
13) Maintain purchase records and other important data
14) Negotiate pricing and supply contracts
Qualifications and Experience
• Knowledge of the Mbare Market environment
• Living close enough to the market to start work at 0400hrs on a daily basis
