Duties and Responsibilities
SECOND SEMESTER 2020 INTAKE
Qualifications and Experience
4.1 DIPLOMA IN DISABILITY STUDIES (2 YEARS)
Entry requirements:
A minimum of 5 'O' Level passes or equivalent including English Language at grade C or better. Experience in human science employment will be an added advantage.
4.2 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN PSYCHOLOGY
(4 YEARS)
Entry requirements:
A minimum of 5 'O' Level passes or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or better.
4.3 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN PSYCHOLOGY SPECIAL HONOURS (1 YEAR)
Entry requirements:
A minimum of a relevant basic/general degree.
4.4 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN SPECIAL EDUCATION (4 YEARS)
4.5 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN RECORDS AND ARCHIVES MANAGEMENT (4 YEARS)
4.6 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN LIBRARY & INFORMATION SCIENCE (4 YEARS)
Entry requirements:
Applicants must have 5 'O' level passes, including English Language at Grade C or better OR Gained advanced standing through the Accreditation of Prior Learning route.
4.7 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN SPECIAL
EDUCATION ( 3 YEARS)
Entry requirements:
Attained a qualification at Level 5 of the Zimbabwe National Qualifications Framework (ZNQF), (Diploma) awarded by a recognised university, college or institute. Such applicants will be admitted into part 2 of the study programme
4.8 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN RECORDS AND ARCHIVES MANAGEMENT (3 YEARS)
4.9 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN LIBRARY & INFORMATION SCIENCE (3 YEARS)
Entry requirements:
Attained a qualification at Level 5 of the Zimbabwe National Qualifications Framework (ZNQF) (National Diploma) awarded by a recognised university, college or institute. Such applicants will be admitted into part 2 of the study
programme
4.10 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN SPECIAL EDUCATION (2 YEARS)
Entry requirements:
Attained a qualification at Level 6 of the Zimbabwe National Qualifications Framework (ZNQF), (Advanced Diploma) awarded by a recognised university, college or institute. Such applicants will be admitted into part 3 of the study programme.
4.11 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN RECORDS AND ARCHIVES MANAGEMENT (2 YEARS)
Entry requirements:
Attained a qualification at Level 6 of the Zimbabwe National Qualifications Framework (ZNQF), (Higher National Diploma) awarded by a recognised university, college or institute. Such applicants will be admitted into part 3 of the study programme.
4.12 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN LIBRARY AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (2 YEARS)
Entry requirements:
A minimum of 5 'O' Level passes including English Language at Grade C or better; AND a Higher National Diploma in Library and Information Science.
4.13 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN DEVELOPMENT STUDIES (4 YEARS)
Entry requirements:
A minimum of 5 'O' Level passes including English Language at Grade C or better; Experience in a human service profession will be an added advantage.
4.14 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN COUNSELLING (4 YEARS)
Entry requirements:
A minimum of 5 'O' Level passes including English Language at Grade C or better; Have a recognised professional qualification in a human service profession (e.g teaching, nursing, social work).
4.15 MASTER OF SCIENCE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION (2 YEARS)
Entry requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or any equivalent with a minimum of 2.2 degree classification.
4.16 MASTER OF SCIENCE IN PEACE, LEADERSHIP AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION (2 YEARS)
Entry requirements:
A relevant degree with a minimum of 2.2 degree classification.
4.17 MASTER OF SCIENCE IN COUNSELLING (2 YEARS)
Entry Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Counselling or Psychology with a minimum of 2.2 degree classification.
MASTER OF SOCIAL SCIENCE IN DEVELOPMENT STUDIES (2 YEARS)
Entry Requirements
An Honours degree in Development Studies or related discipline.
4.19 POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN DEVELOPMENT STUDIES (18 MONTHS)
Entry Requirements
An Honours Degree in Development Studies or related disciplines from a recognised University; A basic Degree in a related discipline.
How to Apply
Closing date for submission of all applications is 31 October 2020 except for M.Phill and D.Phill which is open throughout the year. Application fee for both Undergraduate and Post-graduate programmes is ZWL$50 for local and USD$10 for foreign applicants while that of M.Phill and D.
