Job Description

Brite Cafe' is looking for an Executive Chef to join our team. Looking for an experienced individual for one of Zimbabwe's newest and most exciting Cafes'.The Executive Chef is responsible for all kitchen operations to ensure culinary excellence in the preparation and presentation of food products. The Executive Chef is also responsible for managing the daily and seasonal menus, associate management, and production planning.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen, kitchen prep, procedures, portioning, and execution
• Ensure food quality by adhering to Brite Cafe' standards at all times
• Ensure accuracy of all recipes and kitchen training tools
• Oversee food inventory on a weekly basis and adhere to food cost budgets
• Ensure accuracy of all food specs and standards
• Recruit and interview new kitchen staff
• Scheduling for the entire team
• Oversee training for the entire kitchen team
• Oversee training for Sous Chefs and cultivate new talent
• Maintain fast and accurate service while ensuring products are consistent with Brite Cafe' standards
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for your team at all times

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have culinary training
Must be organized and efficient in a kitchen
Must have at least 5 years of experience running a professional kitchen
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent Customer Service skills
Experienced in supervision & training of employees
