Job Description

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT - Cassava Smartech

Job Purpose

To support and enhance the Finance Director's effectiveness by providing operational support with regards to business research & intelligence, information management, strategy implementation, preparation of reports and presentations and coordination of projects.

The role requires the ability to provide accurate, insightful and timely financial and operational information to the executive and functional management for business performance review and decision support

Duties and Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities • Provides critical high-level operational support by tracking and helping prioritise activities that requires the FD's attention on an ongoing basis. • Supports the day-to-day operations and work streams, including operations management, communications, development, external stakeholder relations management, and special initiatives. • Provides research, editing, and fact-checking assistance for reports, communications, and publications by the FD while managing special projects. • Provides research & documentation of actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO. • Contributes towards the research strategy for CSZL through the preparation and review of qualitative and quantitative research input while Identifying and tracking functional KPI's through dashboards and operations reports. • Develops transformational operational models & conducts performance benchmarking including researches into performance of peer Fintech/Smartech's, regional peer Fintech/Smartech's. • Develops business-centric reporting by being proactive in analysing the business, its financial & technical performance, key metrics and its strategic priorities. • Analyses and interprets operational and key business metrics to identify critical cross-functional business issues for resolution and implementation that optimize Group Operational decision making. • Identifies and tracks Operational and Commercial KPI's across the Group through dashboards and operations reports while creating visibility into the key drivers of performance and inform business decisions. • Liaises with and co-ordinates with Subsidiaries at Cassava Group level on the implementation and co-ordination of Operational activities and key deliverables as required. • Checks deadlines, manages projects and activities as they relate to the FDs office by assigning work to staff; tracks progress and follows up on results (including planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences). • Prepares business meeting agendas in advance; assists with and provides research/background information, content development, and creation of presentations. • Records key discussion points from business meetings, prepares and maintains action tracker as well as follow up on key action items. • Performs any other relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification, Skills and Experience
• A Degree in Business Studies, Economics or equivalent.
• An MBA or equivalent.
• At least 4 to 6 years' experience in a similar or related environment.
• Proven ability to perform business analytics, conceptualise business solutions
• A self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Innovative & adaptable.
• Honesty & integrity is a must.
• Ability to grasp concepts quickly.
