Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions which have arisen in Human Resources and Administration Section of the Women’s University in Africa:

Library - Assistant Librarian

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

Efficient management and administration of the entire University examinations system.
Monitor and oversee the conduct of all formal University examinations.
Monitor and review the handling of examinations from departmental level and offer guidance on relevant aspects of the running of examinations.
Plan and budget for all activities and to control the utilization of resources within the section.
Supervising all the day-to-day running of the department.
Liaise with departments on the security and submission of question papers.
Liaise with departments on the appointment of external examiners in liaison with the department including payment of examiners.
Facilitate travel and accommodation arrangements for external examiners in liaison with the departments including payment of examiners.
Monitor the compilation of examination timetables and invigilation schedules.
Monitor the processing and publication of examination results ensuring quality control.
Handling student appeals/queries.
Monitoring the printing of certificates and transcripts.
Checking of transcripts and certificates
Performing staff appraisals.
Monitoring prevalence of high standards in the areas of;
Staff discipline
Public relations, and
Customer care.
Monitoring training and coaching of examinations staff.
Participating in selection Boards of staff.
Authorising payments to creditors and controlling of expenditure in the section.
Compiling of the examinations reports.
Administering examinations for foreign institutions.
Generation of students’ examinations passing/failure rates.
Servicing the Examinations Board meetings as secretariat.
Implementing policies, rules and regulations on examinations.
Performing any other duties assigned to him/her by the Deputy Registrar (Academic).
