Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above mentioned position which has become vacant in the Health Services Department.

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inspecting and monitoring all premises for public health compliance
• Conducting food quality monitoring and take remedial action
• Collecting and analyzing water samples for remedial action
• Investigating and following up all communicable diseases
• Enforcing public health legislation
• Conducting social mobilization on health and hygiene in the community

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Environmental Health
• Three years post qualification experience in the relevant position
• Clean class 4 driver's license
• Clean criminal record

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team
• High level of attention to detail, ability to analyze problems and find solutions
• Confident and ability to make firm decisions in difficult situations
