Job Description

Using digital media skills to proactively build, maintain & monitor a consistent reputation for the business across all digital channels and online media platforms. The incumbent will generate, edit and publish online content to promote the business. Furthermore, the incumbent will also be responsible for carrying out media analytics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of media related work around the business, its SBUs and its brandsbrands

Duties and Responsibilities


• Uses media analytics output to give meaning to their data sets by creating concise management dashboards depicting accurate ratings and related KPIs
• Uses feedback from media analytics tools to feed into the business’ online content development and online reputation management strategy
• Generate relevant multimedia content for distribution and publication on multiple digital platforms
• Proactively builds a consistent reputation for the business and its leaders across all digital channels and platforms through direct engagement with relevant players and the smart and strategic use of the business’ existing assets
• Plays a key role in advising what the company should put out in the public media about our businesses, products and corporate leaders, and how to handle adverse publicity and trolls against the business.
• Draws up and implements a Search Engine management plan for the business, its products and people to ensure maximum exposure of our content
• Constantly monitors and tracks online, digital and social media platforms and take the requisite actions to protect corporate brand reputation
• Works closely with key and influential online publishers, bloggers, etc, to ensure fair coverage of the business’ it’s products and services
• Uses online and digital traffic management tools to measure the level of engagement and recommend appropriate remedial action
• Conducts online surveys with key users and thought leaders, to gauge sentiment and align internal messaging
• Advises management on the most ideal Online Reputation Management (ORM) platforms and options for the business’ use
• Works across functions, with peers in customer-facing functions such as the Commercial department and Customer support functions, to coordinate online reputation management campaigns and initiatives
• Plays a key role in online crisis management, and rallies assets within the business to quickly resolve and address incidences
• Leads cross-functional teams in defining and implementing an internal reputation management process, and coordinates the ORM ecosystem with internal and external stakeholders
• Feeds into the organizations business’ broad ORM and media management strategy
• Proactively works to protect the image of the business to ensure alignment between business’ core values and public perception
• Works closely with the media research and content development to adapt various content for publication on online and digital platforms
• Responsible for building public trust of the company’s programmes, public initiatives, community engagements, products and services

Qualifications and Experience


• Degree in Media & Communications, Marketing, or related field.
• Relevant qualifications, training or proven experience in Digital Content Development or Management, and Online Reputation Management be a distinct advantage
• Experience or proficiency in aggregating, editing and publishing multimedia content using contemporary tools and applications will be important for this role
• Prospective candidates must be self-led and self-motivated
• 3 - 4 years’ experience in a similar or related environment
• Must be able to work remotely or in an office environment
