Digital Marketing/Graphics Officer
Reporting to: The Director Marketing, Communications & Public Relations
Key Result Area: To produce professional creative work per WUA Brand Guidelines
Duties and Responsibilities
Design, layout and format marketing and communications material across the university
Maintain the highest standards in graphic design producing cutting edge creative content for both print and electronic that represent the expectations of the university
Brainstorming with the departmental team new creative concepts and designs
Design and execute a new look and feel across all digital and print material that accurately reflect the brand positioning
Design and production of university printed material for promotions, outdoor media, direct mail, advertising, presentations, report covers, invitation cards, event programmes etc
Design across all digital platforms like website content, electronic newsletters, banners, flyers, reports, posters, social media content (face book, tweets, YouTube, LinkedIn etc)
Guide on purchase of relevant software for creative designs and trends in designs
Development and maintenance of print and digital style guide.
Coordinate relationships with production houses in specifications and estimate costs of services required by the university.
Prepares layouts, designs, artwork and formats for use in publications and exhibitions
Coordinates all administrative aspects of production, including preparing final designs for presentations, checking and approving colour, copy, text format separations and scaling images for print productions.
Management of the university digital platforms in terms of content and messages
Qualifications, Experience and Key Attributes
Higher National Diploma in Creative Designs with a marketing flare
Degree will be an added advantage
3 years working experience in a similar environment
Experience in design software and graphics editing tools e.g photoshop, coreldraw etc
