arisen in its structure.
Position: Diesel Plant Fitter
Duties and Responsibilities
Job Description
1.Diagnose problems from electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
2. Access on-board self-diagnostic systems in the engine control unit (ECU) and central processing unit (CPU) and interpret test procedures and results.
3. Ensure work is performed to comply with appropriate standards.
4.Interpret manuals and software to identify spare parts and liaise with the Workshop Manager in regard to parts ordering.
5.Correctly use and maintain all personal protective clothing and equipment supplied by the company
6. Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on Company’s plant, equipment, machinery and vehicles as directed.
7.Perform routine duties in accordance with established and documented processes as required.
8.Diagnose faults in machinery/vehicles systems and rectify.
9.A proven commitment to workplace Health & Safety.
10. Undertake other duties which are relevant to the position as requested.
11. Be willing to be available to attend out of hour’s breakdowns and vehicle retrievals, if required.
Qualifications and Experience
Skills and Qualifications
●Class 1 diesel Plant Fitting certificate or National Diploma in Diesel plant fitting
●At least 5 years’ experience with earthmoving machinery
●Excellent communication
●Clean Class 4 drivers’ license
