Job Description
The successful applicant will be reporting to the workshop Manager in the Engineering department and will be responsible for but not limited to the following outlined responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- scheduling and carrying out predictive and preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- repair and maintanence of diesel engines on vehicles, trucks, machinery and earth moving equipment.
- generating and keeping records of mechanical availability and utilization of equipment and machinery.
- trouble shooting equipment faults.
- perform periodical safety, maintenance or servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of trucks, equipment and machinery.
Qualifications and Experience
- National diploma or Higher certificate of Diesel Plant Fitting or Equivalent
- At least 3 years experience in machinery and earth moving equipment.
- Must have a driver's license
- certificate of automobile practice and knowledge of hydraulics is an added advantage.
