Finance Department - Deputy Finance Director (1 Post)
Reporting to: The Finance Director
Duties and Responsibilities
Development, implementation and maintenance of information and accounting systems & controls,
Drafting, reviewing and recommending accounting policies and procedures manuals
Budget formulation, implementation, monitoring and control
Ensure correct disbursement and accounting for donor funds,
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards,
Procurement of goods and services in line with procurement regulations
Planning, Liaison and coordination of annual, routine and special audits
Financial reporting
Qualifications, Experience and Key Attributes
Masters Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification
Corporate membership of relevant professional institution such as CIS, CIMA, ACCA and so on
At least 5 years relevant experience at managerial level,
Knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. Public Finance Management Act, Income Tax Act, Administrative rules and regulations
Knowledge of economic trends, interest rates and price for effective financial planning
Computer literacy in spreadsheets, Navision and general ledger packages
Knowledge of company secretarial duties
Possess leadership qualities and be a decision maker
