Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

The role – What we expect from you:
 Contribute to credit strategy formulation, goal setting and measures.
 Draw up and agree service level agreements (SLAs) with lending units.
 Analyze credit applications to ensure bankability.
 Highlight risk issues and mitigation measures to ensure expected credit losses are minimized.
 Assist lending units in deal structuring.
 Review credit applications recommended by EXCO prior to Board submission.
 Prepare training material on credit principles.
 Provide on-the-job training to Credit Analysts and other stakeholders.
 Participate in drawing up risk control self-assessment (RCSA) for the unit.
 Submit input in reviewing and updating Credit Administration and Compliance procedure manual.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Skills and experience required:
 Possess a relevant degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Studies or similar from a recognized tertiary institution.
 Have a Credit professional qualification.
 An MBA, MBL, MSc or similar postgraduate qualification is a clear advantage.
 Have at least eight years’ relevant working experience in the banking or corporate environment.
 Should possess strong understanding of financial analysis.
 Have solid report writing and presentation skills.
 Possess proven and demonstrable analytical and interpretive skills
