Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill the above-mentioned positon. The incumbent will report to the Chief Executive and will be based at Head Office.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This job exists to enhance the Grain Marketing Board's brand visibility, administration of corporate social responsibility programmes, communication, media monitoring, event planning and maintaining a good relationship with the organisation's stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
• Develops and implements the organisation's communication strategy.
• Profiles the organisation's activities in order to enhance visibility and positive image in line with its mandate, strategy and stakeholder interests.
• Maintains the organisation's brand through goodwill and stakeholder management.
• Plans, executes and manages public relations, promotional and advertising services, programmes and activities.
• Contributes to the choice of internal media channels for communication with staff.

Qualifications and Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in any of the following disciplines: Social Sciences/Marketing/Media Studies, Mass Communications and Public Relations.
• Master of Arts in Communication and Media Studies or related field is an added advantage
• Minimum of five years' experience at which 2 will be in a similar role.
