Job Description
An opportunity has arisen within Nyatsime College for suitably qualified persons to fill in the position of Cook. The successful incumbent will be reporting to the Boarding Master and is responsible for the preparation of meals attending to the day-to-day operation of the kitchen. The Cook is to provide a safe, caring boarding environment that enriches the lives of the students. The House Parent will also be responsible for prioritizing the safeguarding, welfare and health, and safety of students above all other duties in tandem with the Constitutional mandate.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
• Preparation of meals
• Coordinating kitchen activities
• Reports all breakages and faults to the infrastructure as a result of natural wear or tear.
• Supervision of junior staff
• To do any other duties assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
• 5 “O” Levels.
• Previous work experience in a similar role.
• Methodical and organized and able to work on own initiative.
• Experience as a cook
