Job Description
Job Title: Conversion Operator (Slitting) x 2
Performs final quality control of printed product before shipping; Operates machine to slit continuous lengths of material such as foil and all types of plastics into rolls of specified width by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Mount roll of material on machine supports and threads material over tension bar, between feed rollers, and under rotary blades.
-Slit and breakdown finished press rolls according to work order specifications to assure that finished product meets quality and accuracy standards, and inspect
and eliminate bad material.
-Prepare packing lists, bills of lading, job production reports and all other required paperwork (i.e. Log appropriate job information on core tags to identify
master rolls.).
-Start machine and observe flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and winding.
- Raise job cards for machine breakdown.
-Understand and apply all company rules, policies and safety regulations
- Reads and understands a work orders to determine the stock, ink and other material needed for the job.
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications and Experience
-Candidates with Plastic manufacturing backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- National certificate in plastic and rubber Technology (Diploma will be an added advantage)
- Ability to work under pressure
-Computer literacy required
