Position summary
Welthungerhilfe seeks to engage a Consultant who will conduct a series of barrier analysis surveys of key nutrition behaviours in Tsholotsho and Nyanga Districts (MANA project area) using the standard barrier analysis survey approach.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Lead in all logistics, transport and venue arrangements for the entire process. •Be responsible for recruitment and training of enumerators •Finalise the behaviour statement in collaboration with WHH/ CTDO. •Develop the survey tools using the standardised barrier analysis questionnaire including any necessary translation into the local language(s) as appropriate.•Finalise sampling strategy to represent doers and non-doers from across the six wards for each of the two districts. •Prepare the data collection schedule, including realistic transport/ movement plan adhering to security times. The schedule should reflect also as few days as possible while not compromising on enumerators’ capacity to remember well the answers from the data collection on a behaviour during the corresponding coding sessions.•Conduct the field work in both districts (separately), including enumerator trainings, data collection for each of the key behaviours,supervision and quality control during data collection and coding/ analysis team sessions.•Analyse the results from the coding sessions,also by applying the available standard excel analysis spreadsheet for each of the surveys and compile results by determinants, by behaviour and by district. •Facilitate workshops with CTDO and WHH staff in respective districts to discuss/ interpret results, i.e. bridges to activities, and activities step of design for behaviour change approach
