Job Description
As Communications Officer, you will be responsible for the following activities :
Duties and Responsibilities
Internal Communication
Keep the affiliate’s digital sites (website, WAT, Facebook, etc.) up to date with relevant information as and when required)
Disseminate internal communication through available tools (frames, emails, WhatsApp, surveys etc.)
Organize and facilitate quarterly staff engagement ‘townhalls’ and any staff functions
Liasing with Head Office to ensure regularity and conformation
Digital Media Management
Approve monthly social media content plan by agency
Manage social media feedback and comments
Analyze monthly social media reports and assess them in comparison with competition performance
Update website, internal WAT platform with all relevant news
Media representation
Contact members of the media to set up interviews with company representatives
Liaise with the media houses in identifying strategic opportunities to promote the company’s business.
Ensure optimum readiness in unlikely event of media crisis or news item with concise and accurate information
Placement of adverts and editorials in print, radio, billboards
Event Coordination
Coordinate all internal and external events and manage all suppliers and service providers to ensure quality events
Facilitator at all events
Marketing & PR campaigns
Responsible for implementation of promotions upon consultation with departments involved
Liase with service providers for procurement of quality promotional and advertising material
Managing sponsorships and partnerships
Liase with agency to ensure brief for promotions are followed
Ensure norms and brand guidelines are fully adhered to as according to Group norms
Research
Competitor analysis
Implementation of surveys to find out customer needs and preferences
Track Budget
Ensure that activities are falling in line with set budget and managing costs
Qualifications and Experience
Experience level required
Minimum 3 years
