Job Description
Zimbabwe Power Company is the leading generator of electrical energy in Zimbabwe and supplies the bulk of the nation's electrical power requirements from its five power stations. ZPC is undertaking various projects that are meant to dose the gap between electrical energy demand and supply. The company is now on the execution stage of the 600MW Hwange Power Station: Expansion Project. We are therefore inviting suitably qualified and motivated persons for the following 20 various vacant positions of the project that have arisen on a fixed term contract bas is of up to 18 months.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Overseeing financial KPIs
• Participate in and advise during contract negotiations as required, managing all internal support and approvals.
• Develop Deal Summaries for alignment contracts for management review.
• Development of target proposals, financial model, contracts, and other relevant documents.
• Participate in the resolution to contractual and commercial problems
• Reviewing, scrutinizing and developing operational process flows,
• Ensuring timely procurement of project requirements in adherence to necessary regulations arid legal requirements
• Monitoring and ensuring timeous communication of Contractor's equipment deliveries and managing or assisting the Contractor with all statutory requirements for incoming consignments
• Ensuring that all stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligations
• Ensure that the obligations and responsibilities of all Contracts and other stakeholders are property fulfilled to the time scales identified within the Agreement,
• Monitor and manage the scope, change notices, terms and conditions of any large contract
• Monitor and manage the contract procedures, invoicing, payments, variations, togetherwith contractual entitlements,
• Monthly reporting on variations and potential variations status and progress
• Review and comment upon the Project PSR (project summary report- accounts) and identify any negative variances; make suggestions on any necessary corrective actions to the Projects Site Manager.
• Implement IMS in work procedures and ensure implementation by subordinates
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications and Experience
• A degree in Finance/Commercial Law or related field
• At least 8 years relevant experience
• Corporate membership of a relevant professional institution
• Project management certification is an added advantage
• Experience with commercial risk evaluation and mitigation strategies
