Job Description

Duty Station: Bulawayo (Covering Southern and Central regions is Matebeleland North, Matabeleland South, Bulawayo, Midlands and Mashonaland West)
CeSHHAR Zimbabwe is an organization that specializes in sexual health, HIV and AIDS research in Zimbabwe. The organization is implementing a National Sex Work Programme behalf of and in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Child Care and the National AIDS Council with the aim of reducing HIV acquisition and transmission among female, male and transgender sex workers thereby reducing HIV transmission and acquisition to and from their clients. Low consistent condom use, risk of drug use and increasing transactional sex are some of the common reasons that put these key populations at risk of acquiring STI and HIV infection. Therefore, reaching these populations and increasing awareness and access to STI & HIV prevention, testing and treatment services are fundamental to reducing transmission of STI and HIV infections.
Scope of Work
Under the supervision of the Key Populations Programme Director, the Clinics Manager oversees the smooth day to day implementation of the standard of care package in all sex work programme clinics. This includes implementation of the standard of care package standardization and implementation of clinical systems for the National Sex Work Programme clinics across Zimbabwe.

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific duties include
Clinical Management: The clinics manager will provide oversight for provision of clinical services across all sites, ensuring the standard service package and quality management systems are implemented by the CeSHHAR clinical staff at all sites. He/she will provide ongoing support and consultation to nursing staff regarding appropriateness of patient care, fidelity to standard operating procedures, problem solving and evaluating the quality and documentation of care provided.
Coordination and Supervision: The clinics manager will work with regional coordinators to ensure static, local mobile and highway clinic schedules are developed, implemented and reviewed and adjusted where necessary for optimum delivery of services and performance on targets. He/she will lead recruitment and orientation of clinical staff and conduct appraisals for all site leaders.
Communication: The clinics manager will be responsible for communicating changes to the services delivered by the programme and any updates from the Ministry of Health and Child Care to the clinical team, ensuring feedback from the clinical team is channeled as appropriate. He/she will work with regional coordinators and site leaders to ensure stakeholder relationship management including community entry, ensuring MOUs are kept up to date and feeding back to local stakeholders.
Administration: The clinics manager will be responsible for facilitating and monitoring timely supply of resources to clinics including medicines, clinic supplies and stationery using internal and external systems. He/she will ensure all clinic work spaces are adequately equipped for delivering services and be responsible for managing the supply chain for drugs and commodities for daily use.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, skills and experience
Bsc. Nursing Science /Registered General Nurse with post basic qualification and valid practicing, forensic and rapid HIV testing certificates; Current certificate in Good Clinical Practice and Ethics; Counselling diploma and experience in HIV/AIDS counselling an added advantage; Demonstrable experience and interest in working with sex workers; Experience in OI ART, Viral load and supporting DSD an added advantage; Demonstrable ability to collaborate with stakeholders and partner organizations; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Computer literacy with practical experience with Word and Excel; Fluency in Ndebele added advantage.
