The Organisation of Rural Associations for Progress (ORAP) is a leading local NGO involved in development and relief (emergency) work in rural communities in Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South and Midlands provinces. It exists to fight all forms of poverty among the rural and urban grassroots communities of disadvantaged women, men and youth through the empowerment of people by facilitating their development in their diverse cultural contexts.
Project Summary
The vacancy for the upcoming USAID funded Amalima Loko Project. The project seeks to improve food security through increased food access and sustainable watershed management. Its purposes are P1: Enhanced and inclusive local ownership over food security and resilience planning and development, P2: Watershed management improved, P3: Adaptive and absorptive capacity improved
Position Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for cleaning the work spaces, including restrooms; emptying trash bins, cleaning windows, and dusting furniture, preparing tea and performing other related duties to promote a tidy environment for all
Duties and Responsibilities
Major Duties/Responsibilities include:-
Performing various cleaning actions such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning daily
Cleaning designated facility areas
Performing and tracks routine facilities inspection
Performs and tracks maintenance activities
Notifying management in case there is a need for repair and interventions
Making adjustments and performing minor repairs
Stocking and maintaining supply rooms
Cooperates with the rest of the staff
Following all health and safety regulations
Preparing and serving visitors teas
Performing any other duties as delegated by supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
Qualification and Experience
Education: 5 O levels.
Experience: Minimum of one year conducting cleaning services
Knowledge of local languages
