Transmedia Corporation is a state-owned entity under the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, responsible for the distribution of radio and television signals for both public and private broadcasters nationwide, as well as provision of other ICT solutions.
The Corporation is inviting suitably qualified Zimbabwean citizens to fill the above-mentioned post. The successful candidate is to be responsible for Administrative, strategic and policy affairs of our organization whose interest is in the media and technology space.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
➢ Developing and implementing a strategic plan of how the organization can make its most distinctive and effective contribution in the areas it operates.
➢ Leading, in conjunction with the Board, the development of the Corporation's strategy to maximize shareholder value and enhance the positioning of the Corporation.
➢ Advising the Board and Government on critical developments in the broadcasting industry.
➢ Ensuring the organization keeps up with the current trends in the industry and modern business practices through research.
➢ Managing and ensuring the development of systems, processes and methodologies based on in-depth knowledge of the business context, objectives, and structures to enhance business effectiveness and efficiency.
➢ Taking full responsibility for the organization's budget and ensuring the work is effectively (and cost effectively) managed, promoted, resourced, and evaluated to achieve maximum impact and benefits.
➢ Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements through developing and sustaining sound Corporate Governance Structures.
Mentoring and interacting with members of staff at all levels to foster growth and encourage development among senior executive team and all members of staff.
Buildng and maintaining strong relations with the relevant Stakeholders, and keeping them appraised and informed in dl critical matters pertaining the organization and acting in the best interest of the organization.
Ensuring that the organization is appropriately structured and have the people with right skills and competencies to deliver on the objectives and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Telecoms or equivalent.
A Master's Degree in Business Administration / Business Leadership
At least 10 years' experience in running an organization and leading high performing teams In-depth understanding of the Media and Technology industry Leadership training at managerial or executive level is a must.
REMUNERATION AND EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

v The successful candidate will be given a five-year renewable performance-based contract which will be appraised annually.
