Job Description
Galaway Management Services has been retained by one of its clients – a manufacturing company to recruit and select a suitable candidate for the position of BUYER.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Sources or purchases the right productsas per the requirement of the company.
• Continuously monitors market demand and supply for your required products.
• Negotiates with supplier or manufacturer to get the product with the best price.
• Prepares procurement contracts with the supplier as per future demand.
• Communicates with Sales or Production manager about their requirements.
• Submits procurement reports to the top management of an organization.
• Develops a good supply chain for cost effective product procurement.
• Analyzes each and every buying opportunity available for particular products.
• Places purchase orders to the seller of a particular products and/or services.
• Estimates future buying needs of the company.
• Follows up buying process and updates the buying status of the purchased products.
• Collects sample products and analyzes them in terms of price, quality, and availability for different suppliers.
• Develops and maintains a buying database where records of all products and services are kept.
• Checks and verifies all the required specifications of purchased products.
• Supportsand communicates any supply problems which may impact on business operations.
Qualifications and Experience
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Logistics or any related field
• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience.
• Negotiation Skills.
• Adequate Product Knowledge.
• Proper Understanding of Market and Analytical ability.
• Good Communication Skills.
• Ability to Buildup Link.
