Zimbabwe Power Company is the leading generator of electrical energy in Zimbabwe and supplies the bulk of the nation's electrical power requirements from its five power stations. ZPC is undertaking various projects that are meant to dose the gap between electrical energy demand and supply. The company is now on the execution stage of the 600MW Hwange Power Station: Expansion Project. We are therefore inviting suitably qualified and motivated persons for the following 20 various vacant positions of the project that have arisen on a fixed term contract bas is of up to 18 months.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure that requirements for the Project including consumables are ordered on time
• Check the correctness of purchases requests and specifications
• Analyse descriptions and obtain additional information as necessary
• Conduct research and recommend suitable sources of supply in line with existing laws and procedures
• Participate in tender openings and provide support through performing secretarial duties in adjudication meetings
• Evaluation of received bids, quotations and other terms against tender and preparation of comparative schedules
• Compile purchase requisition/order status reports and other reports as and when required
• IMS Implementation

Qualifications and Experience


• A degree in Purchasing &Supply or equivalent
• Membership of a recognized professional institution
• At least 2 years postgraduate experience
• Project management experience an added advantage
