Job Description

The Buyer manages the supply chain activities for the company driving availability of raw materials and inventory for sale. He or she is accountable for the procurement of stock, liaising with suppliers and coordinating the inbound logistics activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

The main duties of the Buyer include but are not limited to:
• Management of vendors.
• Procurement of all company requirements in accordance with company policies and directives from
time to time.
• Building relationships with suppliers.
• Logistics coordination.
• Administration duties.

Qualifications and Experience

Skills and Qualifications:
• Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of materials, products, and the commodity market in area of specialization.
• Skill in preparing and analysing complex technical specifications and bids.
• Skill in both verbal and written communication.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:
• At least 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing Industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in related field or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education
from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
