Job Description
To drive the bus with due care and attention, transport passengers daily, practice excellent customer care, ensure bus is refueled at appropriate times and to promptly report all accidents and breakdowns.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Regulate heating, air-conditioning, and lighting, for passenger comfort
• Ensure that the trip stays on schedule
• Follow a planned route according to a time schedule
• Help passengers load and unload baggage
• Account for all passengers before leaving a location
• Act as tour guides for passengers, if necessary
• Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations
• Help disabled passengers get on and off the bus
• Obey traffic laws and national regulations
• Follow procedures to ensure passenger safety
• Keep passengers informed of possible delays
• Perform basic maintenance (check the bus tires, lights, and oil)
• Keep the bus clean and presentable to the public
Qualifications and Experience
- Bus driver (Minimum of 5 years’ experience)
- Minimum of 2 A levels and 5 'O' levels including Maths and English
- Sales and Marketing diploma or Tour Guide Certificate
- Clean and valid Class 1 driver's licence and valid retest
- Age, to be between 30 and 50 years
- Valid passport
- Valid Defensive driving certificate
- Valid medical or Optical certificate
