Brand Manager is responsible for understanding what makes the target audience tick, and for developing marketing campaigns that position the brand according to those motivators. These marketing campaigns will not only drive customer engagement, but will further define the brands reputation and image in relation to the market.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Conduct consumer and market research
Identify how our brand is currently positioned in the market
Design a research-based brand strategy
Develop and execute marketing campaigns aimed at communicating our brand message
Communicate our brand personality internally and align company around foundational ideas
Lead marketing team members through campaigns
Measure and report on success of marketing campaigns
Measure and report on success of marketing campaigns
Anticipate consumer trends and keep brand up to date
Have a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Marketing or equivalent.
Postgraduate Qualification, e.g. MBA, is a distinctive advantage.
At least 2 years practical experience in a marketing environment.
Be trend savvy – stay on top of industry trends in marketing and consumer psychology.
Be creative and innovative thinker and planner.
Able to align multiple brand strategies and ideas.
Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets.
