Job Description

Your new role as a Bid Manager will be fast paced and varied and will include:
• Liaising with a team to deliver proposals and determine the needs of the potential client.
• Taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process.
• Managing opportunities from qualification through to contract award.
• Identifying opportunities on which to submit bids and feeding into the decision over whether to bid for the work.
• Introducing and implementing all necessary bid procedures, governance, and processes. Researching, writing and/or checking proposals
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience within a similar role.
• Background in practice or public sector bid writing with a proven track record
• Must be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
• Strong people management and commercial skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines
• Good financial understanding
• Create and review opportunities to implement best practice purchasing policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance and deliver best value and business savings.
• Utilize appropriate resources including Supplier Development to ensure appropriate supplier partnerships and delivery of sourced products.
• Ensure that the Company operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff and visitors.
• Contribute to new business initiatives and projects, review and communicate the impact on Purchasing activities.
• Administer the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Asset {chapter 22:23}
• Risk management skills - they should strike deals objectively while ensuring low risk but promising successful returns.
• Negotiable Depending on experience inclusive into company benefits once completed Six-month probationary period

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in procurement and supply chain management or equivalent.
• A clean class 4 drivers licence.
