Job Description

An upcoming TV Station requires the services of a suitably qualified and experienced incumbent to fill in the position of Airtime Sales Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Selling and marketing of airtime for the channel.
• Leading and managing marketing department staff by providing tasks, objectives, strategies, and projects.
• Ensuring sales targets are met on a monthly basis.
• In charge of orientation, and training of new marketing department staff.
• Planning and implementing promotional campaigns.
• Analysing potential strategic partner
relationships for company marketing.
• Oversees the production of all marketing materials, including printed documents, media advertising spots, website adverts, and social media accounts.
• Responsible for digital Marketing and revenue generation.
• Working with advertising agencies to sell airtime.
• Produce weekly revenue reports for the department.
• Regularly interacts with marketing manager to receive information and updates about marketing staff progress and results.
• Evaluates marketing reports and sales data compiled by marketing staff members.
• Works with executives to incorporate marketing needs into overall company planning and strategy
• Monitors competitor activity and brainstorms potential improvements or changes in marketing strategy, products, or services
• Organises and attends company-wide and marketing events.
• Travels to meet clients and attend conferences, trade shows, industry events, and seminars
• Adheres to and implements company policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience

Should have first degree in Marketing with a reputable institution.
A professional qualification such as IMM would be an added advantage.
At least 5 years managerial sales and marketing role. Those already in broadcasting stand a better chance. Excellent communication skills.
