Job Description


The incumbents will be responsible for ensuring that the revenue collections tally with the receipting. This will be done through updating the Cash Management module and subsequent reconciliation of receipts to cash and local bank statements of the organisation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Bank Reconciliations - Receives Bank Statements for various Banks for a specific period and reconcile all the deposits in the cash management appearing on the bank statement.
• Prepares bank reconciliations as per ledger balances and bank statement balance
• Cash Accounts Reconciliations - Identifies un-captured and double captured transactions per account.
• Extracts the ledger balance for each cash account form the receivables module.
• Submits the reconciliations to the Accountant for review.
• Stock Reconciliations - Receives stock sheets count forms from stock team leader
• Prepare stock reconciliations after invoicing all monthly sales for review.
• Receives stock sheets count forms from stock take team leader
• Receives cash float transfer to ware house for specific period
• Prepares eco-cash reconciliation for review by Accountant
• Data capturing - Captures all receipts for offline shops received from shop stewards
• Captures all invoices for offline shops after balancing of shop sales returns.
• Captures all bank charges and interest as per bank indicated on bank statement
• Remits all captured receipts for every bank to match deposits.
• Analysis of sales return - Receives sales return forms from shop stewards and balances the return forms ensuring that opening stock and closing stocks matches with the stock quantities recorded on the stock sheets.
• Analyses if recorded sales are matching with the banking’s
• Filling of documents - Files all documents for future reference

Qualifications and Experience

• 6 “O” Levels including English and Mathematics
• 2 “A” Levels in commercial subjects
• Degree/Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar or related environment.
